Original soul-stirring music and no-holds-bar spoken word poetry are the stars of this event. The brainchild of local scribe and performing artist, Aleshea Harris, Grit and Silk is an evening of unabashed musings on everything from love and hope to war and breasts. Without missing a beat, Harris calls upon the grit of dark days and the silk of happy times in an evocative fusion of words and song.

This show is part of American Stage’s Late Night Series and is running November 13th, 14th and 15th at 7 and 9pm at American Stage Theater in St. Petersburg, FL. Admission is “pay-what-you-can”.
